This is Friskies, a full black female mongrel puppy who is about 3 month of age as of 28th June 2011. The vet says she resembles a black retriever and she's medium coated, as seen in the pictures.

She's with her fosterer now, but unfortunately she cannot keep her any longer. This little black angel is looking for a new foster home, or best, a forever home. She'll grow up to be non-HDB approved, medium-sized. She has taken her first vaccination and will be due for her second on 2nd July.

Her ex-owner is going back to his hometown and he is not going to bring Rana with him. He actually intended to give Rana to SPCA and we are afraid that by giving to SPCA, they may put her to zzzzzz….

Currently Rana is with a fosterer and the fosterer, himself, already has 15 cats so we hope that someone will quickly adopt Rana as she may not get used to staying with so many cats. Moreover, she is very gentle so we are also afraid she may be bullied by the bigger cats… she is only about 2 yrs old and is very gentle to human, cats and children. She will not hiss at all and is super kwai.

Hence, we hope to rehouse her to a family with either no cats or with 1 cat at the moment. That maybe a better choice for her.

Xing Wang was picked up someone when she was about 3 months old and weeks later she was adopted. But her fate changed when she had some skin issues.

The owner brought her in to the animal hospital where I worked and tried to treat it but the vet said it required about 3 weeks or more for treatment. Because it took so long, the thought the skin could not be treated and he wanted to put it down I managed to dissuade him coz the dog is still young ...and after weeks of treatment she got well n she's in good health now with beautiful healthy fur.

She is a loving dog, a little insecure because of the circumstance in her life and being left in boarding for so long at such a young age.

She needs a bit of warming up before any stranger get close to her and I try to bring her out and recently brought her to east coast to let her be exposed to more strangers n surrounding.

I cannot board her for too long at the hospital and really, really hope someone can adopt her soon as she can be a great companion to be with.

I have taught her to sit and she is a fast learner. Xing Wang is now 8 months old, sterilised, microchipped and healthy. She is small frame for a cross breed and is a lovely shade of gold and yellow.If you know of anyone who is looking for a good companian, please consider Xing Wang.

Very friendly and affectionate, the sweetest little things ever.

They are less than 2 months old, and rescued from an area with a lot of illegal wild boar traps.

Their mum lost two of her legs to the traps, so now she only hobbles around on two good legs.

There were 6 pups, but 4 of them passed away.

They will likely grow into mid-sized dogs (i.e average mongrel size) and do not need to be adopted together.

As mentioned, one of them is currently undergoing blood transfusion and 24/7 monitoring due to lack of blood.

[rehomed!] ADOPT: KY - healthy, non-aggressive, gentlemanly 1.5yo male beagle, loves food and affection

His name was Milo and he was left behind by his owners who said they didn't have time for him. Young Milo is only 1.5 years old but already he's been given the boot. What then is time? No time to walk him? No time to throw him a ball? No time to cuddle and kiss him? It seems then that time is akin to love for this is all Milo is asking for.

Fortunately for him, he was left behind at a market centre where some workers took pity on him and took care of him. They also changed his name to KY and much as they took pains to care for him, as we all know this was not an ideal place where he could stay for long, nor a home that dear KY can call his own, with no cuddly bed to jump nor snuggle into, or watch his favourite programs on the telly with his head on a soft lap. He has since been rescued and is living with his dear fosterer who wants to find him a loving and committed home.

KY is about 1.5 years old, and is neutered and micrco-chipped. He is healthy and according to his fosterer, he has the nicest demeanor towards people and is totally non-aggressive. He loves food and is deemed easy to train, if you have time (aka, if you have LOVE for we already said that time = love). He hasn't had that in a long long while which is why he is such a 'sucker' for affection, touch and cuddles. Is that enough to melt your heart already?

KY is slightly shy towards other dogs. He will sniff them and all that but other than that, not much interaction as he has probably never been socialised with dogs before. If there's a loud bark from a strange dog, he retreats with his tail between his legs. We know he just needs time to get to know everyone and everything.

Our wish for dear affectionate KY is a loving home with time for him and overflowing love. Time to train him, teach him, throw him a ball, run with him, walk him, just be with him and never ever deem him 'too much trouble'.

Although he is pretty small sized for a beagle, this breed is unfortunately not on AVA approved list for HDBs, we are looking preferably for a home in a private apartment or landed. This request is for the sake of KY's security and the adopter's peace of mind.

hi, my friend found a lost/ abandoned dog at Rosewood Drive (Woodlands area) in a big canal...the dog was found on 27 JUne 2011, in the evening.

not sure if the dog is lost or abandoned but it had a collar around it (removed cos it was dirty)

the dog is a male, sterilized, around 3 years old

the size is around a Maltese size, definitely HDB approved.

my friend brought the dog to SPCA and it has a microchip from overseas, they are still trying to trace the owner. according to SPCA, the dog is quite healthy

my friend wanted to keep the dog but she's a foreigner n stays in a rented place, her house mates are afraid of dogs thus she had no choice but to give it to SPCA where the dog is currently at. They didn't let us know how long they'll keep the dog for, but as most of us know, it may not be for long (probably 2 days before they decide whether to put to sleep).

my friend has informed SPCA to let her know if they can't trace the owner.

in the event the owner can't be found, i am URGENTLY LOOKING FOR THE OWNER OR temporary FOSTERERS/ ADOPTERS...must be above 18 years of age and must have parental approval, i will do the screening and house checks beforehand as this is not my first time rescuing dogs but i have 4 dogs at home so unable to take him in and i have contacted the shelters who are full as well.

How sad it is when people do not care for their pets, leaving them hungry and lonely. Zeus Communications was recently contacted by a lady, asking us for help to rehome her brother's 2 year old mini bull terrier, Hulk. Her unemployed brother owns the dog but doesn't care for its welfare, often letting it go hungry. Occasionally, Hulk will be fed, but only with white rice or bread. We don't understand why they won't keep him even when we offered to provide food and medical aid. The sister refused our offer, only wanting us to rehome the dog.

For such a young dog, Hulk's life shouldn't be this unhappy and loveless. Please take him away from his miserable existence and consider giving him a loving home where he will be cherished and cared for. Please contact the owner's sister directly.

Baxter was a breeding dog, used and abused by breeders for their profit. His welfare was heavily neglected - when we rescued him, he was grossly underweight from malnutrition and had a bout of dry eyes.

Despite all that he has been through, he is a friendly and sociable dog. A real sweetheart who is contented just sitting beside you and doing nothing! He loves eating and is not a fussy eater. .

From eyes of desperation, we now see hope. Please give Baxter what he truly deserves.

Hello, everybody!

My name is Miko. I’m a female brown toy poodle born on 14 Feb 2010 (Valentine’s Day!!) at a puppy mill in Seletar. As I was born with 2 deformed hind legs, the breeders wanted to put me to sleep. 2 very kind and young girls managed to persuade the breeders to give me up to them instead.

As the girls could not keep me, they found me an adopter who kept me for a year before giving up on me. My second owner kept me in a rabbit cage after adopting me but after a few months, she gave me up to a rehomer. I am now with a fosterer waiting for a new owner who will truly love me for what I am.

I’m a good and sweet little girl but may be fussy over food at times. So, I weigh only 1.8kg. I’m not very heavy, am I? My rehomer said I should only be spayed when I reach 2kg. My hind legs may be deformed but I am still very mobile. I love playing with other dogs so will love to be with a family that already has a dog or two!!

When and where was it lost/found/seen: I only saw it in the early evening, about 6pm today but got a text later from a friend who said she saw it wandering around the MRT station. Wasn't sure if it had a owner then because sometimes there are people who walk their dogs unleashed. As a resident in the area I have never seen this dog before.

Other comments: Photos of her attached. I've fed her and given her water. She took the treats first then sniffed around before slowly eating the kibbles so I suspect she hasn't be out on her own for long. Is slightly timid but very friendly. She stayed near the playground area because there were many people there. She also seems sociable with other dogs. Went down to look for her again, she is gone but I believe she may come back again. Will update. She has quite a foul smell (not typical doggy) and has what seems like tar streaks on her (construction nearby). Other than that she is active and looks uninjured.

Went missing along Lor Ah Soo/Hougang Ave 1 area on Sat 4 June 2011. He has a white body and a star spangled grey/black patch on his face (esp on the right side). Was wearing a red/white collar. Santa's Little Helper was found abandoned on Labour Day 2009 at the void deck of their flat, scrounging hungrily for food. He is about a year old old, and has been spayed and microchipped.

Santa is a handsome fellow with big standing ears, long tail and a totally black, very shiny coat. He is a lively active curious male local breed puppy and is extremely intelligent. He barks when he needs to go downstairs to do his business. He responds well to training and knows how to sit and shake hands on command. In fact, he now shakes hand automatically when he sits.

He loves long walks, and despite his size (12kg), he'll try to climb on my lap for hugs and pats. He needs someone with lots of love and patience.

Do you have a loving home for Santa? He'd love a garden to run around in. He's in a shelter now and waiting to go to Noah's Ark, but would gladly go to a good home here.

[rehomed!] SOS! ADOPT: Socks - lovely, playful, super-friendly 6mo cat

Hi, this is “Socks”, a cat in my condo in Jurong East.

She needs a home badly. This condo management is very rude to animals. My voice does not make any difference as I am renting a unit here.

Please help me find a suitable home for Socks. She is not safe here. She is a wonderful soul always seeking company to play.

Currently few families like Socks, but majority hates them. I am feeding her regularly right now.

My friend Samantha has put a collar around her neck thinking if management finds her they will feel this is some of the resident’s cat. But I know this hide-n-seek cannot continue for long. Her life is precious.

Socks is super friendly, nearly 6 months old, very playful. She is lovely. She is sterilised. She always wants to play with me, runs around whenever she sees me. She follows me till the lift lobby, every night I have to dodge her while coming back. This is emotionally very difficult.

[rehomed!] ADOPT: big, handsome male golden retriever w white muzzle (eunos)

This golden retriever was found by a lady near Eunos. She placed him with a neighbour, but the neighbour wanted to send him to SPCA.

I took him in last night. Friendly with dogs and humans. His muzzle is all white, probably not young.
He is very well fed and in good condition. I will bring him for a microchip scan once i can take time off work. In the mean time, can you help me spread the words about him?
I hope there is an anxious owner out there waiting for him to be back.

Attached are his photos. big and handsome. Apologies not much details about him, as i couldn't really communicate with his rescuer, who is from China.
