[rehomed!] ADOPT: Lucky the 1yo singapore boy with gsd looks - orphaned, adopted, needs new home again

- small frame mid size dog
- Sterlised male
- Excellent health
- Age - one year plus
- Happy, friendly, active
- Good with people and children
- Playful with other dogs

Young Lucky has the looks of a small German Shepherd, and the cutest and friendliest in the litter of orphaned pups, protective of his siblings.

After a series of unfortunate events, Lucky was finally adopted by a family and just when everything seems to be turning out right for him, the grandmother of the house fell very sick. The family had no choice but to board him out while the situation was critical but now it appears that the temporary solution then most likely will stretch much longer than they had anticipated.

Granny is now under full-time nursing care at home. The doctor has advised there be no pets as she has breathing difficulties so poor Lucky has lost his home and the love of his life. The family, faced with such a state, is opening Lucky up to another home if one can be found as it would be fairer for him then in limbo at boarding.

Lucky is a small frame medium-size dog and not suitable for HDB as licensing rules apply. Viewing will be at the fosterer's home at Punggol if you are interested.

[rehomed!] ADOPT: Hazel - gentle, affectionate, quiet 4yo female golden retriever

Animal's name: Hazel
Age: 4 years old soon (DOB 7 Jan 2007)
Gender: Female
Breed: Golden Retriever (local)

Vaccinated? Yes, up to date
Sterilised? Yes

Health condition? Very good

Physical description? Very petite in size. Nice coat.

Personality/temperament? Gentle, affectionate, friendly and undemanding. Easy to manage. Goofy at times. Very quiet - hardly barks. Fearful of thunderstorms - will cling to family members or hide under beds and tables.

Toilet trained? Yes, outdoor. 4 times a day.
Understands basic commands? Yes. Sit, down, come, stop, stay, paw (with food only)
Good with other pets? Yes. Current playmates are a GR and a maltese.
Good with children? Yes. Very patient with children. However, she may knock down a young child if not careful. Whenever she is overly enthusiastic or happy.

Why is it being put up for fostering/adoption? Hazel is rescued from a local breeder because she was an unsold puppy. I got to know her when I was looking for a puppy. I did not choose her but when I heard that she was sold to a breeder, I took pity on her and decided to redeem her freedom. After waiting for 1 year, I finally succeeded. I hope to rehome her so that she can have a good doggy’s life as all dogs should have.

Where is it now? My home
How long can the current fosterer keep it for? Hope to rehome Hazel by February as my family will be moving to China in March due to a new job posting.

Other comments: Seeking for GENUINE, SINCERE, EXPERIENCED and COMMITTED families only.

ADOPT: Tommy & Lexie - 4yo/2yo male/female, vaccinated, non-biters

Please help! After two long years of being on a waiting list for a dog, we have been notified by breed rescue that, at long last, our number has come up and ... WE ARE HAVING A PUPPY!

We must get rid of our children IMMEDIATELY because we just know how time consuming our new little puppy is going to be and it just wouldn't be fair to the children. Since our little puppy will be arriving on Monday we MUST place the children up for adoption this weekend!

They are described as:
One male -- his name is Tommy, Caucasian (English/Irish mix), light blonde hair, blue eyes. Four years old. Excellent disposition. He doesn't bite. Temperament tested. Does have problems with peeing directly in the toilet. Has had chicken Pox and is current on all shots. Tonsils have already been removed. Tommy eats everything, is very clean, house trained and gets along well with others. Does not run with scissors and with a little training he should be able to read soon.

One female -- her name is Lexie, Caucasian (English/Irish mix), strawberry blonde hair, green eyes quite freckled. Two years old. Can be surly at times. Non-biter, thumb sucker. Has been temperament tested but needs a little attitude adjusting occasionally. She is current on all shots, tonsils out, and is very healthy and can be affectionate. Gets along well with other little girls and little boys but does not like to share her toys and therefore would do best in a one child household. She is a very quick learner and is currently working on her house training. Shouldn't take long at all.

We really do LOVE our children so much and want to do what's right for them. That is why we contacted a rescue group. But we simply can no longer keep them. Also, we are afraid that they may hurt our new puppy.

I hope you understand that ours is a UNIQUE situation and we have a real emergency here! They MUST be placed into your rescue by Sunday night at the latest or we will be forced to drop them off at the orphanage or along some dark, country road. Our priority now has to be our new puppy.

PS - If you laughed or understood the seriousness of this posting, please repost it in other areas of the country as well as continue to repost it. It doesn't matter how quickly it was flagged (this has already been flagged twice within a matter of hours in Worcester) the point is that SOMEONE SOMEWHERE will have read it and thought about it for a minute. Maybe that person will look at the pets they are rehoming and reconsider giving them away or dropping them off at a pound. Maybe they will help counsel someone that they know is doing it. Keep the silver lining in mind, otherwise those of us in rescue will succomb to how incredibly morbid the whole situation is and we can't risk any good people giving up. I can't take credit for this posting, it was in the Best Of Craigslist section but this can and should be applied to EVERYWHERE and I think that the original poster would take it as a compliment to see that their ad helped someone along the way.

[rehomed!] ADOPT: Sammi - sweet, playful, affectionate, loyal 2-3yo female cockerpoo

Sammi tells a sad story.

A gorgeous looking Cockerpoo ( cocker spaniel mix with standard poodle) is looking for a forever home to be called hers, will you open your hearts to Sammi?

Rescued from a local shelter just 2 hours before her deadline was up.

When she was brought out, her entire body was covered in her own urine and faeces yet this endearing pretty girl wore a lovely smile on her face with torpedo-liked wags from her tail.Like a happy bunny, she was hopping around ecstatically being exceptionally friendly with strangers. She had to be bathed and soaked 3 times for her "smell" (from being caged up in the shelter perhaps?) to come off.

Further checks on her body revealed badly bitten bite marks on her hind legs by not 1 but 2 or more dogs. As to where did she get bitten from, one can only wonder. Thankfully after a month, her wounds are healing nicely.

Vet estimated her to be about 2-3 years old and healthy with mild skin problems that will recover. She responds to the name ending with "me" and hence she has been renamed as Sammi.

Sammi is a gorgeous girl with her fur/texture and size similar to that of a standard poodle and colours and
features of a buff cocker spaniel.

If you are looking for a pet, please consider Sammi.

Name: Sammi
Breed: Cockerpoo
Age: 2-3 years old
Temperments: Sweet, playful, very affectionate and loyal.
Sterlized: No
Size: Medium-large

An animal communicator related Sammi"s sad past, she was once owned not by 1 owner but by 3 owners. As a matter of fact as if fate caught up with her, she was thrown from place to place like a discarded good or "off season" merchandise. The animal communicator did mention, Sammi feels closer with females( humans) as for the past 3 homes, she was given up due to male human influences and the most current surrender was by a man who promise to come back for her but didn't. Leaving her lost, scared and once again alone to fend for herself.

Sammi does have a quirky side when she's eating, she "guards" her food and doesn't allow any other dogs to come near other than that she is a lovely girl who hasn't given up hope searching for that special family, willing to accept her into theirs to shower her with all the love she had dearly missed out in her puppy days.

Regretfully, Sammi is not HDB approved. Adopters must sterilize, microchip and license the dog.

[resolved!] FOUND/FOSTER/ADOPT: Soot - healthy 2-5mo female mongrel pup at SPCA (sengkang, mon 13 dec 2010))

Hi,
I contacted a few shelters and was turned down due to full occupancy. Below is the detail of the abandoned pup I found. SPCA is willing to hold the pup until tomorrow only.. Thereafter, they will not keep me posted.

Pup has no skin problems and looks/accessed healthy. We call her 'Soot', and hope to at least find her a foster home for now while looking for a permanent solution as we need to get her out of SPCA by tomorrow...

Oh and I forgot to mention, she is a 2-5 mths old pup. Do drop me a call or let me know what other details you may need. I won't have much as I didn't get to spend time with her to know her temperament. But she was found in distress and am sure will be a loyal girl to her new owner...

Pls help?

Rgds,
Claudia

=====

Hi,
I found an abandoned/lost puppy (mongrel) yesterday at Seng Kang area, and called in on the police whom referred to SPCA to pick up the dog. Later on, I realised that SPCA will not update me further on the dog’s well being unless I’m willing to adopt/find a home for it almost immediately.

The lady at SPCA was nice enough to tell me to try get a home asap, they can’t promise me anything (and chances for the pup to be put down is high as its not sterilized, not microchipped, and it’s a mongrel), but the sooner I get her a home, the safer the pup is.

I’ve got a mongrel myself and plus a kid – I’m unable to take the pup in. But I’m committed to find it a home, but need a temporary shelter for it. Will you be able to help me?

Medical bills are going well over $1400 and I can't afford to keep him there any longer. As his wound is not healed completely, releasing him might cause the wound to be infected again.

Ginger needs his wound cleaned once every 2 days and antibiotics with his meals. He has to wear the ecollar through the process as he loves to scratch at his wound.

I have cats of my own and am unable to take him in. I can however help out with the expenses to care for him.

Pictures can be found here.

Please help spread the word and hopefully find a good home for this sweet boy. Thanks!

[rehomed!] ADOPT: Black-face & White-face, 2 little kittens found in the rain

3 little kittens were found lost and weak alone, in a bush under the rain. (ALL Black) has already been adopted. ..with 2 of her (Black & White)-faced siblings still yearning for family love. Will you be the one? :)
Black & White

1. Black-faced - (Male) is a soloist, blur, curious and likes to depend on humans a lot. We are still trying to litter train him. He's got a tail infection because the two others bullied him while they were playing, we've brought him to the vet already. No worries :)

2. White-faced - (Female) is more 'sticky' towards human also, adorable, and loves it most when humans 'sayang' her a lot.

We've been taking care for them for 2-3 weeks from then, and now, we are looking for suitable and kind adopters whom are willing to love them and be their best friend forever.

Thank you :)
