FIND: 2 small orangey kittens near bedok

I first saw these 2 kittens on Sunday night. Didn't see their mama anywhere nearby. They are very small, think only few weeks old. One is friendly and curious and will approach me on its own. The other is more wary. I didn't get a chance to look at their gender.

I give them some lactose free milk and they drank all up in seconds. I went down again on Monday night wanting to feed them back couldn't see them. Thinkin hopefully they have been pick up by some kind soul, I left and went back home.

I just saw the pair again this morning on my way to work. I'm not sure if they have any food since yesterday, but I didn't have any food with me so couldn't feed them. Anybody stay around that area can help to feed them/bring them back first? I have a dog at home will bark at them. I've no exp with cats at all, any help is greatly appreciated!

[thu 23 sep 2010. source: e-mail, tue 21 sep 2010.]

sat 30 oct 2010

The 2 kitten that I've been feeding had been taken away by the pet control company as there was a complaint about them being noisy.

Thankfully, the person didn't send them to ava if not they will be pts but dropped them off somewhere around bedok.

I did not have any of their picture with me, but look similar to the attached pic.

The 2 small kitten both male (approximate 3-4 months) should be staying close to each other. It's quite hard to miss. They are playful, one is wary with human, one is not.

Can anybody live near that area help to keep a look out?

Please dropped an email to Joey04_lye@yahoo.com.sg.

[rehomed!] FOSTER/ADOPT: Blackjack, male husky abandoned along loyang ave (wed 13 oct 2010)

Hi everyone, I am looking for a foster home AND permanent home for Blackjack, whick we found abandoned on 13 Oct (Wed) night along Loyang Ave. He was tied to a tree.

The taxi driver who drove his owner to abandon him said that the owner wanted to leave him at Serangoon Gardens but ended up at Loyang instead as it was near the taxi driver's home. We were too engrossed with the dog to take down his details. Apparently, the husky's name is Blackjack.

Blackjack is in a good condition, smart, strong and good with humans.

Some quick points:
- Toilet trained (only poops or pees on grass)
- Responds to "Sit"
- Good with people, not good with other big dogs.
- He is a dog and is not good with cats.
- Coat, eyes and teeth in good condition.
- Needs lots of exercise, space, attention and a loving home.
- Strong, magnificent, medium sized Husky.
- We got him food supplies, a blanket, brush, treats, bowls etc to last till he is permanently adopted.
- Very affectionate with humans, good in cars.

UPDATE:
16 Oct: BJ is at Mutts & Mittens (http://www.muttsnmittens.com/) bcos he did not get along well with the alaskan malamute & husky (both male) at his first foster home. I will be visiting him tmr (Sunday).

[resolved!] FOSTER/ADOPT: Venus the singapore girl hit by a car - suffered miscarriage, scabies, dislocated hip

Venus was knocked down by a car and lived with her injury for more than two weeks.

She's been at the vet for three weeks now. After having gone through so much pain and suffering, she has almost nothing left in her. Having had a miscarriage, scabies and a hip dislocation, all within a short span of time, a deep sense of loss and hopelessness can be seen in her eyes as she spends her days staring blankly.

[rehomed!] ADOPT: Ven the quiet, sterilised 7yo male maltese

Ven the maltese for adoption, is a sterilised male dog who has a quiet nature. He eats home cook food once a day( boiled meat and veggies) and daytime he eats Acana kibbles. He is toilet trained meaning if you bring him to the toilet he will do his business there. Do note he is 7years old. Diet can be changed as owners preference.

Weekly he needs the normal grooming etc. Bathing and cleaning of ears etc. Once a month to the groomers. Walks I keep it minimal now that Im pregnant i cant really bring him for walks but would be great if he can go for daily walks. He just took his yearly vaccination on July at ALLPETS AQUALIFE clinic. He has a record there and microchipped as well.

If you are really keen in adopting him, there will be a adoption fee of $50 as formalty sake and all documents and his medical card will be passed to you. I have his playpen, his bed, his eating utensils etc.

Do consider if you are keen I can arrange for you to meet him.

Thank you.

[rehomed!] ADOPT: Tristan 3yo pure-bred black male labrador, loves playing fetch and e company of people

I have 3 male dogs in my house for the past 3 years. In the past 12 months, as Tristan grew physically bigger although he is the youngest in terms of age, he began to question the authority of the oldest male dog every couple of months.

3 months ago - the two of them fought, and this time, Tristan won , leaving the oldest dog with surface wounds on the neck. There is no intent to injure fatally, just to try to gain territorial rights.

As such, they have been separated - because the dogs remember.

This cannot be long-term - and we have unwillingly decided to put Tristan, he being the youngest (the other 2 dogs are almost 10 years old) up for adoption - in the hope that he will find a good home who will love him - as he adores people and is very affectionate.

Tristan is 3 years old, pure-bred, and loves to play fetch, plus being in the company of people.

[rehomed!] FOUND/FOSTER/ADOPT: Muffin the one-eyed 6-7yo female Maltese (Bedok North, Wed 28 Apr)

A white female Maltese was spotted wandering along the sidewalk near Block 510 Bedok North Ave 2 on a sweltering hot afternoon. She was panting very hard and walked with a slight limp. She had only one eye; her left eye seems to have been lost from an injury or surgery some time back. She had no collar on. Concerned that the dog might be in distress, her rescuers stopped their car to check on the cute pudgy looking white dog and offered her food and water. She seemed hungry and thirsty and gobbled up all the food in no time.

After her hearty meal, this determined dog was ready to set off again as if to look for someone. Her rescuers decided that it was too dangerous to leave this little cute dog to her own devices as they watched her attempting to cross an intersection of a road, so they leashed her and housed her at the Pet Hotel after a general health check by the vet.

The Vet revealed that this little dog had no microchip and has been relatively well cared for and well fed as she was on the tubby side. She is estimated to be about 6 -7 years old. Apart from very minor skin problems, she was in good health. She was no longer limping. Her limp could have stemmed from her walking for hours or days on the streets looking for her owner.

As all dogs should have a name, her rescuer named her Muffin. Muffin is a sweet girl who is extremely easygoing, trusting and has a charming personality.

The next day, Muffin was brought back to the place where she was found, in the attempt to find her owner. Muffin looked visibly excited, as if anticipating being back with her owner. She made some sounds while in the car, as if trying to communicate her plight.

Her rescuers allowed her to lead them through the blocks of HDB flat and to their surprise, Muffin hurried up a flight of stairs eagerly, brought them up to the third floor, turned right and stopped outside a flat.

Hopeful that Muffin had found her home, they knocked on the door but to no avail. They enquired with neighbors and confirmed that that particular household owns a dog but neighbours were evasive about whether Muffin was that dog. A note, with Muffin’s photograph, was left under the door but unfortunately, till now, the owners have yet to call.

The rescuers have done their due diligence by informing the relevant authorities, placing ads in the papers, taking Muffin to the vet to scan for microchip and do a general health check. They have also on more than one occasion taken her back to the area she was found, in the hope that someone will recognize her and know her owner. Alas, nothing has resulted from that.

Muffin loves the company of her foster family and is settling in well but we know she misses her owner and we sense that she still feels she is lost, or perhaps she just can’t accept the fact that she has been abandoned. We too, can’t accept that such a sweet, lovely dog can be abandoned under such circumstances, but having been a volunteer in animal welfare for many years, we are aware of the harsh realities of pet abandonment. If a pet owner has made up their mind to abandon their pet, chances are they would just do so, without considering the dangers they would be putting their pet through, or whether their pet would even survive a few hours on the streets avoiding traffic or fending for themselves.

Our initial hopes of finding Muffin’s owner diminishes as the days go by too . . . . we get the sinking feeling that she was abandoned, not lost. It has been almost one month and we now have to think of what’s best for Muffin and to give her the happiness and love that she deserves again.

Muffin is currently under the tender loving care of her foster family. However, they are not able to keep her for long.

Muffin’s Description:
Vet estimates her to be about 6 to 7 years old, probably lost her left eye several years ago as the wound has healed. She is well-built and pudgy, has a lump on the underside of her due to hernia, which the vet says is unlikely to cause any problems. She was clean shaven when she was found 28 April 2010 (Wed) and has a slight skin condition. She was found near Block 510, Bedok North St 3 with no microchip and no collar.

Please help to look for a good home for this 11 months old male GR, Tiger. Given up cos couple broke off. Attended obedience training at Waggy's.

I found out that he is allergic to chicken, and may get the runs if he ate some by mistake.

He needs walks twice a day for pee-ing and poo-ing.

He is coming to 1 year in age this September. He looks full grown but still has puppy temperament, with patient care and training, I'm sure he will be a wonderful family companion.
