FOSTER/ADOPT: Nugget - friendly male stray dog

Hold on, don't skip this adoption post! Open your eyes big, and here's Nugget. Yes, he is a friendly stray roaming about but he doesn't attack or charge at people and he'll prove all those that think that stray mongrels attack, bites and causes nuisance WRONG. He's the friendliest stray I've ever met in my whole life and I fell in love at him but I can no longer house another one. He trusts humans too easily and that makes him extremely vulnerable to being caught by the authorities. A van has already came down to look for dogs and we're glad he managed to escape.

No one knows how much longer can he roam about without getting caught. He's estimated to be about 1 (I may be wrong), but definitely less than 2. A big boy but still loves belly rubs, and did I mention? He love to follow people around the estate, yes any stranger. He's friend with everyone but unfortunately, some 2-legged cannot stand his presence and called the relevant authorities.

He may be a full grown, you may have missed the period that he may look the cutest, but.. you still have another 13-15 years more to spend with this lovely boy. He has missed his good "puppyhood" too. He has been roaming around since birth and has never experienced family warmth, how it feels like to have a home, a roof under his head and not going around, trying to scavenge for his own meal everyday. Kindly note that's he's non-hdb approved. If you're below 21, kindly get your family members, or working adults at home to contact me. Please remember that this is a lifetime commitment because this goofy boy will be dedicating the rest of his life, day and night, just for you and your family. Adopter has to sterilize, and vaccinate him, and grant house visits prior to arrangement so that we can monitor how he's getting along.

SOS - NOW@SPCA! PLS SHARE! FOUND/FOSTER/ADOPT: female mongrel (bedok south)

I found a mongrel with a collar last Sunday in Bedok. SPCA took it into shelter and just called me yesterday to tell me no one has claimed it. They will put it down on Saturday.

She's got a brown collar around her neck and needs to find her owner soon or SPCA will put her to sleep.

I'm at a lost as to what to do as I can't house her(and trying fervently to get anyone I know to rehome her). Please advise if you can help me. 8128 2004. Thanks.

PLS SHARE-SOS!!! BY 5 FEB! FOUND/FOSTER/ADOPT: Vlek - male cross-breed dog (kuo chuan ave, off east coast road, 18 nov 6pm)

This poor dog came to our house looking lost and dehydrated.

We gave it water and since then he does not want to leave.

He is very timid and a bit scared, and quiet.

He has flees, skin rashes, and is very skinny, and a bend in his hip, maybe accident, it looks he has been abandoned or basly treated or on the street for a while.

We gave him shelter and food in our yard saturday and Sunday to help.

We can't really keep a dog and are looking at possibilites for rescue.

FOUND: Friendly, small young female mongrel, no m/c (telok kurau/upper changi)

Anyone lost a dog?

A very friendly, small sized (just 11 kg) young female mongrel found in the east, near Telok Kurau/Upper Changi.

Allows herself to be leashed with no fuss. Walks well on leash. Has iodine solution applied to skin near armpit area. Very likely a lost dog. No microchip.

* Pls share and help to look out for Lost Notices for a dog who looks like her. And contact us asap. Thanks!

FOUND/FOSTER: playful black-n-white male puppy w blue collar and leash (yio chu kang/jalan kayu, fri 2 sep 2011)

Someone found this male puppy along Yio Chu Kang/Jln Kayu on Friday night. He has a blue collar and a leash attached.

Human friendly, very playful like any typical pup.

Pls contact projectjkteam@yahoo.com.sg asap if this is your dog, or you know his owner. If anyone can foster this boy till his owner is found, pls contact us also. He's now kept in a farm enclosure, not exactly hygienic conditions.

ADOPT: Missy the alert, intelligent dog who loves to jog

Missy was a bit shy at first but was quick to warm up with affection, Once she settles, she is so lovely to have around the house!

Always eager to please, she will always greet you with a nice wag of tail and lots of affection. She is very friendly with all of us in the family including my young 4-yr old nephew and also gets along fine with my other 2 dogs well.

When we found her at Sembawang Park on 11 Feb 2010 before CNY, she came running up to us looking for a good pack to settle in with. After a brief interaction, she was ready to follow me and my dogs home.

She has some boxer blood (black mouth with white stripe down the front of her head) and looks like a cross between that and a hound or something from the sporting group of dogs as she is always alert and an active sniffer.

Her health is excellent (no external parasite problems), clean ears and skin. I also had her microchipped and dewormed. The vet suggests that she is less than a year old and I have made arrangements to have her sterilise on 30 March. She is eating well, and is lean, and getting very muscular as I do run and exercise her everyday.

She is intelligent and is learning basic commands very fast (sit, stay, come, down, and responding to her name "Missy"). On the leash, she is a real joy to walk with.

Since then she has settled right in front of my house and is always alert (in a non-aggressive way) when there are visitors or passerbys.

I think she will make a good house and family dog if you are looking to have one around the house.

There is no special needs. But she is a fairly big and energetic dog so will require the new owner to take her out for the usual walkies and runs, and have time to have her socialise with other dogs and humans. We walk her twice everyday ( she walks very well on the leash) and she is an excellent runner i.e. if you love to jog, this one is for you.

We brought her to SPCA but was informed that she could be put down within 24 hrs, so we decided to do this adoption programme ourselves.

If you are keen to adopt her, pls contact me at 98221251 or 92368616. There is no adoption fee whatsoever eventhough I have paid for her deworming and microchipping. All we want is for her to go to a nice home. I can't keep her as I have already 2 fast growing dogs at home.

We found Missy lost and hungry on 11 Feb 2010 at Sembawang Park and have been fostering her since. Due to a change in family situation (one of the primary caregivers will be leaving Singapore in a month's time), we are urgently in need of help of any kind person who can adopt or foster Missy. There are already 2 fast growing dogs at home so Missy is adding to the pressure and we can't cope. The family decision is to surrender her to the SPCA in 2 weeks time if unadopted and we really do not want to resort to this as they may have to euthanise her if they deem her not suitable.

Missy is a very affectionate and intelligent dog and looks like a cross between a boxer and a hound. She can definitely run well and if you love to jog, she will make a lovely running companion.

I had her microchipped and dewormed already and she is a very healthy and fit dog.

A potential adopter backed out at the last minute. Andy has decided to keep Missy and work out among the family on how to care for her.

FOUND/FOSTER/ADOPT: Godrick the 3-4yo male black/tan/white dog with blue collar (ayer rajah camp, thu 1 jul pm)

Found this male dog aged around 3-4years at Ayer Rajah Camp this afternoon.
He is black/tan/white in color.
He have a blue collar on.
He is extremely thin and brought him to the vet. Vet said he have some small skin infections.

so anyone living around that area might have lost a dog?

Hi, we decided to bring him to the vet as he was very thin with a few small injuries.
Furthermore when we were trying to get him out of the bush and into the car, it was raining very heavily. Poor boy was in a puddle & shivering.

The vet said he seems bright & energetic despite his weight. And he is just an overall cheerful dog who just want to go out, although he tend to be in his own world (meaning short attention span.) But managed to teach him "Sit", although not 100% but still have to work on his attention.

He is currently with an awesome friend who managed to house him for the night as I have 3 chihuahuas & cats myself. Although he is friendly to dogs of different size (from his brief interaction with the canines at Pet Ugamart). But I try to seperate them due to his small skin infection (The vet said it could infect dogs with weaker immune system if the dogs lick those areas) And I don't want to enclose him in a toilet or kitchen at night.

So for the time being, we are hoping to find a foster home for him to nurse him back to an appropriate weigh.

I know how SPCA would put dogs to sleep, so that was never an option for us. And alot of dog shelters are normally packed and couldn't take in more dogs. Still looking for shelters though. But if we really can't find him a home for the time being, then will put him in a boarding home and hope that his owner or some kind & patient soul will give this boy a permanent home. We decided to named him Godrick.
