[rehomed!] ADOPT: Lolo Nanuk the laidback 7yo male teacup poodle

Lolo Nanuk is 7 years old tea cup poodle and therefore acts that way.

he sleep a lot and is slowing down a little. He will walk a little but does not want to walk much. he loves his food which makes him very easy to care for.

Lolo takes a while to get used to people and will try to bite them but as he has no more teeth left he can't really hurt anyone.

he is currently on probiotics to help him with his digestion, skin supplements, joints supplements. he has loose patellas which slows him down even more but still wants to jump for treats.

Lolo was left at the pet shop by his previous owner as she didn't want him anymore.
as he was very stressed there, i took him home to foster.

i absolutely fell in love with him but i don't think my home is the one for him. i have an active life style and my other dogs and I go for long walks and for lolo it's just too much. even when i carry him, he gets very heavy after a while and does show signs of stress from the heat in the carrier.

Lolo will stay with me for the rest of his life if need be. so there is no rush. please think of adopting him carefully.

i am looking for someone who can care for him better than i can. maybe someone who has another old dog who is of similar energy level and life style. that would be my wish for him.

SPONSOR BILLS/ADOPT: Johnny Cash the singapore boy whose head was smashed, still looking for home

Here is the tale of Johnny Cash, a poor boy, ill treated simply because he was friendly.

Johnny Cash is a lovely stray that roams the areas some of us feed. He has always been a gentle boy and loves to run up for his chicken neck treats!

However, we recently heard that Johnny’s head had been smashed and hit by a China worker in the area. To our horror, Johnny was indeed in an awful state. His head was merely a bloody mess with nothing much left protecting his skull.

Johnny has been rescued and is now living at the Cattery at Pets villa as our dog kennels are full.

Johnny has gone for his first visit to the vet. The road to recovery is going to be a long and painful one. To make things worse, friendly Johnny is now far more wary of humans and suspicious of those around him. However, we will continue to do our best to make Johnny Cash the same old boy he used to be.

If you are keen to help with the cost of Johnny’s medical bills, please help us help him by writing a cheque to ‘The Animal Doctors Pte Ltd’ and write ‘Johnny Cash’ behind the cheque along with your address so we can mail you a receipt. All cheques can be sent to:

[rehomed!] ADOPT: Nina - lively, affectionate, non-yappy 5mo female puppy rescued from deserted area

NINA THE GORGEOUS SWEETHEART SEEKING FOR A GOOD HOME

Nina is a puppy rescued from a deserted area. She had been bitten by rats, her other siblings sadly did not survive in the wild. Nina has since been treated and recovered to a healthy state of well-being. She is 5mths old now.

Nina is a sweetheart anyone could wish for... She is very lively & does not hide h

er affections for you. Though active, she is not a yappy dog. Due to the shelter (Pets Villa) being full, Nina has to be kept at the back room....all by herself. Nina is so deserving & is in dire need of a warm & loving home that she's been waiting for so long. It is sad that she quietly endures the sadness of being unnoticed, or forgotten.

Nina will be med sized when fully grown, hence not HDB approved. Adopter must sterilize her when she hits 6 mths of age, and has to ensure her yearly shots -- these are just little measures a genuine dog lover can give. A.L.L (Pets Villa) will help to facilitate the shots if necessary.

Other comments: My uncle adopted "Snoopy" 2wks ago from his associate who live in Simei for temporary fostering till he finds a suitable owner for "Snoopy". My uncle's wife DISALLOWED "Snoopy" to enter their house; my uncle has no choice but to bring it to work everyday (my uncle's a renovation contractor) in the back of his lorry! He feeds "Snoopy" twice a day; one meal @noon out at work site, another meal @night (between 2230hrs to 0000hrs) outside of his house before going to sleep. My uncle will then tie "snoopy" @ the staircase area between first floor and 2nd floor near his house.

"Snoopy" is a Good Dog that don't make noise when tied there and even if it happened to let loose itself; it'll go and sleep @ the corridor outside of my uncle's house and waited for my uncle to come out @ around 0600hrs-0630hrs to bring it to work. It had been the same routine everyday and "snoopy" seems to ENJOY being with my uncle cos we can see the STRONG BOND between them when we tried to bring "Snoopy" away from my uncle or my uncle tried walking away from it while we were holding it for him!!! Every time "Snoopy" will whine and struggle away from us to go after him!!!

On early Sunday (20/03/11) morning 0030hrs, my uncle tied it at the usual spot of Block 544 Woodlands Drive 16 (Staircase area near #02-93); when my uncle came out of his house six hours later @0620hrs but this time "Snoopy" was gone only leaving behind the chain still tied around the piping at that area!!! My uncle had searched the entire neighborhood by calling it's name while going through every floor of every block; but "Snoopy" could not be found!!! We STRONGLY BELIEVE that "Snoopy" will not ran away by itself; we're VERY WORRY for it's safety as it may landed in Bad Hands or WORSE in DOGS EATER'S hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please anyone happened to see "Snoopy"; PLEASE...... let us know. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[rip] SOS! NEGATIVE DOG BLOOD/DONATIONS FOR PAPPY

Looking for blood negative dogs (Huskie, german shepards) and donations for Pappy's treament. (Currently at Heart to Heart Vet)

Hi everyone, we are currently looking for negative blood donor for our dog (rescued, owner couldn't pay boarding fee and wanted to bring him to spca).

Pappy is a sweet and gentle giant who is very sick. He has tick fever and his platelets were down to zero. He was so ill that he couldn't walk and was breathless, we were so worried that we will lose this sweet giant.

After a blood transfusion, he has now stabalised but as he is a large dog, his platelet count of 15% is not enough to sustain.

We are looking for donor dogs who are negative. Vet says negative blood is preferably for 2nd transfusion as it reduces the possibility of a reaction.

We are also looking for kind donations for pappy's treatment. His medical bill will likely be in thousands and the vet is asking for deposit of $800.00. We have so far raised $300.00.

For further information about us, you can read about us at http://communitypetcrusaders.blogspot.com/p/faq.html

or Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Society-for-the-Care-of-Community-Cats-n-Dogs/147816891921609

[rehomed!] SOS! ADOPT: Giraffe - healthy 2yo male stray dog rescued by two kind schoolgirls

Giraffe is a stray dog that was rescued from near Bugis Junction by two kind school girls from UWC on 5 Feb 2011. He was limping from an accident, and had a wound below the tail. He is extremely frail from not being fed for many days....but, otherwise in good health. We took him to the vet yesterday - no worms, no ticks, no major problem. Prescription: Antibiotics for the small wound....loads of love and care!

WANTED: a kind hearted soul who will take Giraffe home

He is currently been given temporary shelter by a very kind lady living in Upper East Coast Road.

He is a very genteel kid - a Singapore Mongrel, (but looks like he has a bit of Alsatian miz by the way he stands up magnificently with ears perked up). Estimated about 2 years old. Loves to be petted, and cooperates when being bathed...but each time any of us leave the house....he whines so sadly....

Apparently - SPCA has a record for this dog - he was with a rickshaw puller on the streets and there have been many complaints of him being ill treated...and malnourished. But he is eating well now...and hopefully will recover in a few days.....Lets pray we find a home for him soon....

ADOPT: Demon the active, cheerful, adorable 5yo male husky

Hi all dog lovers,

I've got a Husky looking for a new home. He's not sick but furless. Attached is a picture of his current look. He may look ugly at his current state but he's healthy.

He is 5 years old. He came to this world a day before Christmas in 2004. Cute little puppy with 7 other siblings. All went different ways. He went into a family who loves him very much. Took him everywhere they go. Place him in a bag when he was younger. He was always the leader of a pack of husky whenever there is a gathering. He knows almost all basic commands like sit, down, hail and paw!

Good times don't last. His family went into some crisis and soon they got split up. In the process, he fall ill and almost lost his life. However, he determined to to stay alive. Very brave and strong boy. He recovered from his illness but lost his fur.

He did not give up till today and is still a very cheerful and happy dog. All he needs is a home with tender care. He often begs for food and still behave like a littly puppy at times... He still thinks that he is still a little puppy and often try to sit on my lap while we both watches the TV.

He's paper trained. A little fussy with food but has very good appetite. Love running in parks and of course swimming.

I'm unable to provide him with the attention he needs as I've currently found a job that requires me to travel often. I sincerely hope that he can find a good home, good owners who doesn't mind his looks. I believe one day he'll recover and have his fur grown back and look like a normal Husky.

His name is Demon(but his is an Angel in heart).

The dog seemed very active and friendly. I could not bring it back as I already have a dog at home and due to my working hours I cannot afford another dog.

ADOPT: MooMoo the responsible, obedient, peace-loving 10mo singapore boy

MooMoo the 7 months old Mongrel

Paper-trained and 3 vaccine-jab done.

Understand basic commands like sit and shake hand.

MooMoo is not good with strangers and will do low-barks at the stranger unless someone familiar ask him to stop.

He recognises neighbour's footsteps and will not bark at them after he's used to hearing them.

MooMoo doesn't like people to fight or shout at each other in the house. He'd bark for us to stop. Peace-loving!

He's a lovely boy. But we have to give him up to a better home as we're going through a very difficult phase and everyday is a lot of argument in the house becox our mother refuse to accept MooMoo. We've been trying for half a year now. Nothing seems to convince her. And we know that MooMoo doesn't like it this way too.

MooMoo is perfectly healthy. Also MooMoo gets very playful with other dogs around!
But is relax and cuddly after the 10mins excitement with new HUMAN playmates.
In short, he likes to be around people and other dogs. But will behave a little bit timid on initial contact.

We think MooMoo is a responsible and obedient boy. Once our dad went down to wait for some delivery in the morning. And we stay on the 4th floor and my dad could hear MooMoo barking which is very unusual. Our mom was too sound asleep to attend to his barking.

And when our dad came back up, our bicycle that was chained outside the flat was stolen. MooMoo was trying to stop it by barking to wake my mum up.

We love him, but he deserve a lot more than what we can give him.

MooMoo is not HDB-approved.

[resolved] SOS! FOSTER/ADOPT: Cookie - alert, curious, energetic, handsome 2yo male mongrel

I have a 2-year-old mongrel named Cookie. He was found by me at the basketball court in my neighbourhood back in Jan 2009 when he was just about 4-5 months old. I picked him up because he had a harness on him and he smelled of Dettol, and I thought he belonged to someone else and was lost. The next few days were spent putting up "Found" posters in the vicinity, trying to look for his owner but no one claimed him. I later found out that the old folks at the senior citizens' corner were the ones who put the harness on him and fed him, and he was still a stray after all.

I wasn't financially stable to keep him then (and I'm still struggling now) and I currently have a 12-year-old JRT with renal failure to care for. This past year or so has been a constant struggle to keep Cookie due to my other sick dog, my limited financial capability, limited space in my home (I stay in a 4-room HDB flat with 4 other family members) and my neighbours.

Since I found him until now, the Town Council, AVA and finally HDB has come several times to check up on my mongrel. I've tried hiding him for awhile and bringing him back home but each time I do, my neighbours complain again and the authorities come again. The relationships between my family and my neighbours are deteriorating more and more as each day passes, even ending up in face-to-face confrontations. I've received several warning letters from the HDB and countless visits to my home to check on my dogs. I was also fined once for keeping 2 dogs in an HDB flat, with one not HDB-approved and without a license.

Since then, I've gotten Cookie a license under another address but have yet to show it in times of need because I don't want to get the kind people who offered me their address, into trouble.

I picked him up that fateful day because I thought someone owned him, but when no one claimed him, I couldn't bear to throw him back in the streets. Now I've grown attached to him and vice versa, and it breaks my heart completely that I have to put him somewhere else but at the end of the day, I simply have no choice.

I hereby appeal for a kind soul to help out, whether it's in the form of fostering or rehoming him. I'd like to visit Cookie when I can. Below are some of his details.

Animal's name: Cookie
Age: About 2 years old
Gender: Male
Breed: Mongrel

Vaccinated? Once

Sterilised? No, but I am saving up to do so in order to aid his energetic behaviour

Health condition? Healthy, but sometimes chews on his paw pads and body, scratches his ears due to itch

Physical description? Handsome black-brown colour, looks like he has German Shepherd blood in him.

Personality/temperament?
Mischievous, energetic and curious, possessive with food, a little stubborn and dominant, very very alert and smart. He was lost ONCE before, because the fosterer didn't lock her gate and he ran away. I found him back at the SPCA after 3 weeks. I suspect it's due to unknown trauma (traffic, sudden change of environment) during his missing period that has changed him into a jittery and stressed dog, especially when in unfamiliar surroundings.

He's timid when on walks and is afraid of loud noises like buses and lorries, children on bicycles or old ladies pushing their grocery trolleys, thunder and sudden actions from strangers (eg. sudden running towards him).

Toilet trained?
When he's in my home, he knows how to use the pee tray all the time. But I've put him at home boarding before and it seems he forgets, or doesn't comply.

Understands basic commands? Knows how to "sit" and "shake hand".

Good with other pets? Never tried.

Good with children? Never tried.

Why is it being put up for fostering/adoption? As described above.

Where is it now? At my home.

How long can the current fosterer keep it for? HDB gave me until the 23rd of Dec the last time they came to check, and that's way past the due date by now. They haven't followed up yet but I think they would any time now.

Other comments:
Cookie has become very special to me in the past 2 years, and he's very attached to me. He needs a firm hand and very patient person to care for him. I know, because I was patient with him, and he's become a lot better since his puppy days where I couldn't even stay out of sight or he'd cry. I would care for him for the rest of my life if the circumstances were different.

He was a stray before, and the whole reason of picking him off the streets was to change that. But my neighbours have made it so bad that he has no home to go to right now. It's caused me a lot of stress and sleepless nights knowing that he'd be leaving me and I won't see him each morning anymore when I wake up, and I don't know if it'd be better if I know he's in good hands but I hope so.

He is a special boy who's brought a lot of joy and laughter to me, and I know his personality/temperament sounds like a handful, but he really just needs a lot of understanding with all that he's been through. Please be patient with him, and I'd be eternally grateful to any kind souls out there who are willing to extend a helping hand.

ADOPT: Button, 4mo male mongrel

Button, 4 months old male mongrel, is looking for a forever home.

I took notice of him from an appeal for a fosterer/adoptor by 27 Nov. Or he will live a life as stray in a farm. I decided to take the plunge and took over responsibility in looking for his adoptor as i believe his chance of being adopted is high.

I can' t keep him as i live in HDB flat and it will not be fair for him as he needs space. He is waiting for someone who can love him and give him a forever home. Can you?

ADOPT: Ninja - affectionate, playful 2yo brown female singapore special, m/chipped, licensed, vaxed, spayed

i have a brown female dog that's license, vaccinated, spayed. she's a mixed breed and has been micro-chipped. would you be able to help me post for anyone who wants her? she's lovely and affectionate. shy to strangers but warms up quickly to people. she's somewhat like a house dog. but would be great if she's got a huge place to roam in.

reason why i need to find her a home quick is cause my mom wants me to send her to spca to be adopted. i explained that spca would not be so kind, but she refuses to believe me.

my dog's name is ninja and she responses well to it. easily excitable and still quite playful. she whines quite abit if she's tied up mostly... pretty much the reason why my mom wants to get rid of her. otherwise, normally she's free roaming around the house, but my family has a habit of not closing the gates so we get complaints from the neighbors.
